In a distressing turn of events, a shooting incident on Sunday night in Prince Frederick, Maryland, left two middle-aged victims injured after multiple rounds were fired into their home. The incident occurred around 9:41 p.m. in the 1600 block of Mint Court, prompting an immediate response from the Calvert County Patrol Bureau.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg and a female victim who had been shot several times in the upper body. The preliminary investigation suggests that an unknown assailant or assailants targeted the front of the residence, shooting several rounds and striking both victims inside.
Both individuals were urgently transported to area trauma centers. The female victim is currently listed in critical condition, while the male victim has been stabilized and is in stable condition.
As of now, detectives are vigorously working to identify those responsible for this violent act. The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
