LEONARDTOWN, MD — North End Gallery is set to captivate art enthusiasts with its latest exhibit, “Swimming in Color,” starting July 30. This vibrant showcase features a collection that ranges from cool hues to warm tones, enveloping visitors in a spectrum of colors designed to evoke a range of emotions.

The exhibit includes an all-member presentation with a spotlight on three notable artists renowned for their dynamic use of color. Jeweler Mickey Kunkle, painter Marisa Mansueti, and painter Toni Wolf each bring their unique color palettes and artistic visions to the forefront.

Mickey Kunkle is celebrated for her eye-catching jewelry designs that incorporate bold colors and geometric shapes, using materials like polymer clay and beads to create lightweight, wearable art. Her designs will be a highlight at the gallery’s reception, scheduled for August 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., where attendees can experience her artistry in person.

Marisa Mansueti, a painter who grew up along the waters of Solomons, Maryland, is known for her painterly approach to realism. Drawing inspiration from her scenic surroundings and familial artistic roots, Mansueti’s works, particularly her floral still lifes, radiate joy and vibrancy meant to uplift the spirits of viewers.

Toni Wolf’s contributions to the exhibit include her vivid acrylic and oil paintings that portray the natural world with a bold palette. Her standout piece, “Orion Dragon Fire,” reflects her fascination with nebulas and is part of a larger series exploring similar cosmic themes.

“Swimming in Color” is part of a diverse annual schedule at North End Gallery, which includes a variety of thematic shows ranging from landscape art to abstract pieces. The gallery invites the public to engage with the artists during their monthly “Meet the Artists” receptions, providing a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the artistic process behind the exhibitions.

The exhibit runs through September 1, offering plenty of time for visitors to explore the depth and breadth of color used by these talented artists.
