Leonardtown is set to celebrate the arrival of fall with its 6th Annual Scarecrow Stroll, an event that garners community participation and showcases creativity across the town. Scheduled to begin on October 4th, 2024, during the October First Friday celebrations, this event invites locals and visitors to enjoy a month-long display of uniquely designed scarecrows.

Organized by the Leonardtown Business Association, the Scarecrow Stroll encourages businesses, community groups, and individuals to craft their most imaginative and eye-catching scarecrows. These creations will be positioned throughout the town, transforming the area into an autumn-themed spectacle. Participants have the opportunity to win prizes, and visitors can vote for their favorite scarecrows throughout October.

The kickoff for the Scarecrow Stroll aligns with Leonardtown’s First Friday festivities, a perfect time for community members to gather inspiration and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Those interested in participating in this creative contest have until September 27th, 2024, to register. Registration and further details can be found on the event’s webpage at VisitLeonardtownMd.com/scarecrowstroll.
