MECHANICSVILLE, MD — The Mechanicsville Lions Club celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 18, marking the occasion with a special donation to a local organization dedicated to supporting the homeless. During the event, Lion President Ed Fetterhoff presented a Golden Award and a check for $4,000 to Betty Jo Hayes, representing the non-profit Moments of Hope Outreach.

Moments of Hope Outreach has become a key advocate for those facing homelessness in the Mechanicsville area, providing essential services and resources. The organization’s work in the community was recognized by the Lions Club as a shining example of local charitable efforts.

The donation reflects the Lions Club’s continued commitment to service, a core value of the organization for the past five decades. The $4,000 contribution will help Moments of Hope Outreach continue its mission of supporting some of the most vulnerable individuals in the region.
