Authorities have confirmed that the student accused of initiating the assault will face legal consequences. The juvenile offender is set to be charged with second-degree assault and will face additional disciplinary measures as outlined in the Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct provides guidelines on handling student behavior that poses risks to safety and may lead to suspension or other consequences, depending on the severity of the incident.

The CCPS has reiterated its commitment to student safety and adherence to strict disciplinary protocols in response to incidents of violence or aggression on school premises. School representatives emphasized the importance of a safe environment for students and faculty alike and assured parents and guardians that all necessary steps were being taken to address the matter.
