Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded late Friday night to a reported shooting on Breezy Lane in Hollywood, Maryland. The incident, reported around 11:47 p.m. on November 1, left one individual injured, prompting a swift law enforcement response that ultimately led to a multi-county pursuit and the arrest of multiple suspects.
Upon arriving at the 45000 block of Breezy Lane, deputies discovered a gunshot victim. Officers on the scene rendered immediate first aid before Maryland State Police Trooper 2 airlifted the individual to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The victim’s injuries are currently reported as non-life-threatening, according to officials.
Following the shooting, suspects fled the area in a vehicle, which deputies pursued northward through St. Mary’s County. At that point, deputies apprehended one suspect at the scene. However, several other suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot into the surrounding area.
After a coordinated effort involving the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police, deputies successfully located and detained three additional suspects. The incident has since been turned over to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division for further review.
The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that this remains an active investigation, and officials will provide additional information as it becomes available.
