The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Hawks women’s volleyball team has capped off a remarkable season with three players earning regional honors for their performances on the court. Outside hitter Julia Williams was named to the All-Region Second Team, while setter Caleigh Bergling and libero Katrina Swanson received Honorable Mentions for their contributions.

Williams led the Hawks offensively, recording a team-high 110 kills during the season. Her dynamic presence as an all-around player made her a key asset in both offensive and defensive plays. The sophomore’s efforts on the court earned her recognition among the region’s top players.

Bergling, a senior setter, closed out her collegiate volleyball career with an impressive season, surpassing 500 assists and contributing over 50 aces. Known for her ability to orchestrate plays and deliver consistent performances, Bergling played a pivotal role in driving the team’s success throughout the season.

Swanson, also a senior, excelled as the team’s libero, finishing the season with 340 digs. Her defensive skills and relentless hustle were crucial in stabilizing the Hawks’ back row. Swanson’s reliability and grit earned her widespread respect as a defensive anchor for the team.

These individual honors reflect the collective dedication and hard work of the entire Hawks roster and coaching staff during the season. As Bergling and Swanson move on from collegiate volleyball, their leadership and accomplishments leave a lasting legacy for the program.
