The Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse (CAASA) has released a documentary titled “Sharing Hope – Sharing Our Stories,” highlighting the personal experiences of five Calvert County residents affected by the opioid epidemic. The film aims to foster community understanding and emphasize that recovery is attainable.

The documentary presents narratives of individuals confronting substance use disorders, illustrating the profound impact on their lives and families. By sharing these stories, CAASA seeks to dismantle stigma and encourage those facing similar challenges to seek help.

“We are incredibly grateful to those who shared their stories in the hope of helping others,” said Candice D’Agostino, coordinator of CAASA. “Their voices are essential in breaking down stigma and inspiring hope within our community.”
