The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has launched a new online shopping catalog, Santa’s Gift Shoppe, in partnership with Toys“R”Us, aimed at making it easier for participants in the USPS Operation Santa program to fulfill holiday wishes. The debut coincides with the first day of letter adoption for the 2024 holiday season.

The e-commerce platform allows participants to browse and select gifts for children and families who write to Santa through the program. Integrated with USPS shipping options such as Ground Advantage, the catalog simplifies the process by letting adopters shop and ship gifts directly from their homes.

“USPS Operation Santa has connected communities through holiday goodwill for over a century,” said Sheila Holman, USPS Vice President of Marketing. “This year, through our collaboration with Toys“R”Us, we’re thrilled to bring an easier way for generous people to make a difference. With the launch of this new e-commerce platform, we’re making it simpler than ever to help fulfill wishes and spread holiday joy.”

The collaboration with Toys“R”Us marks the beginning of what USPS hopes will be a broader expansion of the online catalog. Future plans include incorporating additional product categories like clothing, shoes, and books to enhance the shopping experience and impact.

Gary Haas, Vice President of e-commerce at Toys“R”Us, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “At Toys“R”Us, our mission is to bring joy to children, and what better way than to surprise them with gifts from Santa. Through this new e-commerce platform, generous individuals can easily adopt a letter to Santa and help create magical moments for a new generation of Toys“R”Us kids.”

USPS Operation Santa has a 112-year history of spreading holiday cheer by connecting generous adopters with the heartfelt wishes of children and families. Participants in the program can browse letters online, choose one to adopt, and now use Santa’s Gift Shoppe for streamlined shopping and shipping.

In addition to the online initiative, USPS Operation Santa will be featured in a new season of Dear Santa, The Series, premiering on ABC-owned stations on Nov. 24 and streaming on Hulu starting Nov. 29. The show highlights the emotional impact of the program by showcasing real-life stories of generosity and holiday magic.
