Prince Frederick, MD- The Southern Maryland Bluegrass Concert Series continues its star-studded lineup with the third show featuring Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024. The concert will take place at 2 p.m. at the Calvert Elks Lodge 2620, located at 1015 Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick, MD.

Renowned for his dual contributions to Bluegrass as a musician and broadcaster, Joe Mullins has spent over 40 years honing his craft. As the leader of Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, he has brought his signature Scruggs-style banjo picking and soaring tenor voice to stages worldwide. The Radio Ramblers, together since 2006, are celebrated for their harmonious vocals and dynamic live performances, blending traditional Bluegrass, country, and gospel sounds.

In 2019, the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) named them Entertainers of the Year, a testament to their global appeal and dedication to the genre. Regular performers on the Grand Ole Opry since 2013, the band has released 12 acclaimed albums, charting consistently in Bluegrass and gospel music.

Mullins’ contributions extend beyond the stage. As the owner of Real Roots Radio and host of the syndicated program Front Porch Fellowship, airing on over 170 stations, Mullins has become a household name in the Bluegrass community. His production of the IBMA’s 2021 Album of the Year, Industrial Strength Bluegrass, further solidified his standing in the industry.
