Five officers from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack “U” were honored for their exceptional DUI enforcement efforts during a recent Board of County Commissioners meeting. The Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse, Inc. (CAASA) recognized these officers for their dedication to removing impaired drivers from local roads.
In conjunction with the recognition, December has been designated as ‘Designated Driver Month’ in Calvert County. Authorities are urging residents to plan for sober transportation during holiday festivities. Options include appointing a designated driver, utilizing rideshare services, or arranging alternative transportation methods. The goal is to enhance community safety by preventing impaired driving incidents.
