IMMACULATA, Pa., —The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s basketball team (6-5) put up a strong fight against Immaculata University (8-3) but ultimately fell 81-75 in a tightly contested non-conference road game.

The Seahawks faced an early deficit, trailing the Mighty Macs by six after the first quarter. Tramarie Mobray, coming off a career-best performance, scored seven of St. Mary’s 16 first-quarter points to keep the game within reach.
St. Mary’s surged in the second quarter, tying the game at 27 with six minutes remaining in the half. A three-pointer by Sam Blaylock gave the Seahawks their first lead at 32-30, which extended to six points after additional triples from Blaylock and Halimah Hajhassan. However, the Mighty Macs clawed back, regaining their lead and heading into halftime with a 45-40 advantage.
The third quarter saw both teams trade leads before Immaculata gained momentum, stretching their lead to 11 midway through the period. Blaylock’s seven consecutive points in the final minutes of the quarter brought the Seahawks back within five heading into the fourth quarter.
Midway through the final quarter, a three-pointer by Ji-Young Hartman tied the game once more. However, the Seahawks struggled to maintain control as Immaculata responded with an 8-point run to put the game out of reach. St. Mary’s battled until the final whistle but couldn’t close the gap.
