LEONARDTOWN, Md., —Several staff members from the St. Mary’s County Health Department (SMCHD) have been selected to participate in notable leadership training initiatives, aimed at enhancing their expertise and better equipping them to serve the community. These programs focus on developing critical skills in collaboration, innovation, and strategic decision-making to address evolving public health needs.

Selected Participants and Their Programs

The selected individuals will take part in a variety of leadership initiatives at the local, regional, and state levels:

  • Leadership Southern Maryland Executive Program:

  • St. Mary’s County Leadership Academy:

  • Mid-Atlantic Regional Public Health Training Center Leadership Institute:

These leadership programs are designed to prepare participants for greater responsibilities by fostering a deeper understanding of their communities, honing their ability to collaborate across sectors, and enhancing their leadership abilities.
