LEONARDTOWN, Md., Dec. 19, 2024—The St. Mary’s Gymnastics Academy (SMGA) continues to make waves in the gymnastics community following a stellar performance at the Christmas on the Chesapeake 2024 meet. Held from December 13–15 in Baltimore, Maryland, and hosted by Docksiders Gymnastics Inc., the meet featured SMGA’s USA Gymnastics (USAG) team competing in levels 4 through Xcel Platinum.
Twenty-four gymnasts represented SMGA, with 21 earning qualification for the upcoming state championships in the spring, a remarkable achievement for the team and their dedicated coaching staff.
A Proud Moment for SMGA
St. Mary’s County Government’s Department of Recreation & Parks joined SMGA in celebrating the team’s success. “We’re incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work of these gymnasts,” the department stated. “Their achievements reflect the commitment of both the athletes and their coaches to excellence in the sport.”
