Waldorf, Md. — When the tinsel and cheer become too much, Marylanders are turning to horror classics to balance the festive overload. According to a recent survey by HostingAdvice, “The Exorcist” (1973) tops the list as Maryland’s favorite anti-Christmas movie, with many residents seeking a spine-chilling escape from traditional holiday fare. The survey, which polled 3,000 respondents, also named “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Gremlins” as the second and third most popular anti-Christmas picks in the state.
