Calvert County, MD — Breezy Point Beach and Campground is transitioning to a hybrid camping model for the 2025 season, featuring both short-term and seasonal campsite options. The updates, approved by the Calvert County Board of County Commissioners on December 17, 2024, introduce a revised layout, adjusted seasonal rates, and a lottery system for seasonal campsite selection.
2025 Camping Options
The campground will include 35 short-term campsites and 48 seasonal campsites under the new hybrid model. Adjustments to the seasonal campsite fees reflect the variety of site locations:
- General Campsites: $4,300
- Waterview Campsites: $4,500
- Canal Campsites: $4,800
- Beach Campsites: $5,000

Seasonal Campsite Lottery Details
To allocate seasonal campsites fairly, Breezy Point will implement an annual lottery system. Email submissions for the lottery will be accepted from Monday, January 13, 2025, through Friday, January 24, 2025. Interested campers must complete the official lottery form, accessible here, and email it to brzystaff@calvertcountymd.gov.
Campers selected through the lottery will be notified during the week of January 27, 2025. To secure a seasonal site, chosen applicants must submit all required paperwork, signed agreements, and a deposit by February 28, 2025.
Before the camping season begins, a mandatory meeting will be held by Breezy Point Beach and Campground staff for all seasonal campers.
Short-Term Camping Reservations
For those seeking shorter stays, reservations for short-term campsites will open on February 18, 2025. Reservations can be made exclusively online here.
