The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office proudly announced the graduation of its latest K9 teams from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office K9 Training Academy. Today, three newly certified K9s and their handlers are ready to serve and protect, showcasing the culmination of 18 weeks of intensive patrol school training.

Congratulations go to:
- Cpl. Idol and K9 Kodak: Kodak, a 2-year-old Malinois, is certified in Patrol and Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) detection.
- Cpl. K. Buck and K9 Syrus: Syrus, a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Malinois hybrid, is certified in Patrol and Explosive Detection.
- Cpl. E. Reynolds and K9 Blu: Blu, a 2-year-old mixed breed, successfully completed a decoy class and is certified in Tracking and Explosive Detection.
Each team demonstrated exceptional dedication during their training, mastering the skills needed to handle critical law enforcement duties. From CDS detection to explosive tracking, these K9s will be invaluable assets to their agencies and communities.
