
Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, with support from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Team, executed a search warrant on Thursday, January 23, 2025, leading to the discovery of unregistered firearms, a machine gun conversion device, and suspected cocaine at a residence in the 18000 block of Matthews Drive in Lexington Park.
During the search, investigators recovered a .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun, a loaded magazine, a Glock 10MM slide equipped with a machine gun conversion device, an empty 10MM magazine, a 10MM polymer gun frame, and a loaded 33-round magazine designed for a 10MM firearm. Additionally, detectives found a bag containing suspected controlled dangerous substances (CDS). A review of law enforcement databases confirmed the firearms were unregistered.
Dylan Lane Sullivan, 21, of Lexington Park, was taken into custody at the scene. He faces multiple charges, including possession of a machine gun for an aggressive and offensive purpose, possession of a rapid-fire trigger activator, possession of a detachable magazine with a capacity exceeding 10 rounds, CDS possession (not cannabis), and failure to register a machine gun.
Following his arrest, Sullivan was transported to the Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, where he awaits a bond hearing.
Authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
