The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has announced plans to conduct range testing on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The testing is expected to generate loud noise that could affect nearby communities surrounding Naval Support Facility Dahlgren.

During the testing period, access to the Potomac River Middle Danger Zone, as defined in 33 CFR 334.230, will be restricted to ensure public safety. Residents and visitors are advised to anticipate elevated noise levels and to plan activities accordingly.

Range testing schedules are subject to change. For real-time updates on range operations and testing schedules, community members are encouraged to call the NSWCDD Range and Weapons Testing toll-free hotline at (877) 845-5656 or visit the Potomac River Test Range website at NSWCDD Range Schedule.

For further information or inquiries, contact the NSWCDD Public Affairs Office by email at NSWCD_103.fct@navy.mil or by phone at (540) 653-8154.

NSWCDD appreciates the community’s understanding and cooperation during this period of critical testing operations, which are essential to national defense efforts.
