A tree removal project along HG Trueman Road in Calvert County is set to begin on Monday, March 3, 2025, as part of an effort to protect essential water and sewer infrastructure. The Calvert County Department of Public Works announced that the work will take place between Solomons Landing Way and Newtown Road, requiring a temporary road closure from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The project is expected to last between three and five days, depending on weather conditions.
To ensure safety, traffic control measures will be in place, and drivers are urged to remain cautious, reduce speed, and be mindful of changes to driving patterns in the area. Officials stress that all work schedules remain subject to weather conditions and other unforeseen delays.
Residents and commuters are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time during the project. The county acknowledges the inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience as work is completed to maintain and improve public infrastructure.
