Waldorf, Md., April 23, 2025 — The Charles County Department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism has announced the 2025 Mixtape Concert Series, a three-date musical extravaganza set to take place at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf. Slated for May 17, August 8, and September 6, the series will showcase distinct music genres, bringing vibrant performances to Southern Maryland.

The series opens on May 17 with a country music celebration featuring the Eli Young Band, a chart-topping group with four Billboard No. 1 Country hits, and Blanco Brown, a Country Rap artist known for his infectious hit “The Git Up.” The August 8 concert will highlight Alternative Rock artists, while the September 6 event will focus on R&B performers. Specific artists for the latter two concerts will be revealed through Explore Charles County’s social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.

“Each concert is designed to celebrate a unique genre, bringing something for everyone to enjoy,” said Kelli Beavers, director of Charles County Recreation, Parks, and Tourism. The events aim to foster community spirit and attract visitors to Waldorf, enhancing the region’s cultural landscape.

Held at Regency Furniture Stadium, a 4,200-seat venue, the concerts will offer an intimate yet lively setting. Gates open at 5 p.m., with performances beginning at 7 p.m. Attendees can bring blankets or low-back chairs for comfort, but personal canopy tents are not allowed. Coolers are permitted but will be searched, and outside alcohol, weapons, and pets, except service animals, are prohibited to ensure safety.

The Mixtape Concert Series is part of the department’s broader mission to provide high-quality recreational opportunities. Recent programs, such as monthly events for individuals with disabilities, demonstrate their commitment to inclusive community engagement. The concerts are expected to draw both residents and tourists, boosting local businesses and highlighting Waldorf as a destination for entertainment.

Tickets and additional details are available on the Mixtape Concert Series website. For more information on Charles County attractions, residents can visit Explore Charles County. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking, with overflow options available nearby. The venue offers accessible pathways, ensuring inclusivity for all attendees. Concerts will proceed rain or shine, with cancellations only for severe weather, such as lightning, announced via the department’s Facebook page.
