FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Motor Speedway hosts a tripleheader NASCAR weekend from May 2 to May 4, 2025, featuring the NASCAR Cup Series Würth 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY, the Xfinity Series Andy’s Frozen Custard 300, and the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 250. The 1.5-mile asphalt oval, known for its high-speed racing, will see 24 Cup Series winners, including defending champion Chase Elliott, compete in the 45th Cup Series race at the track.

The Cup Series Würth 400, set for Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET, covers 400.5 miles over 267 laps with a $11,055,250 purse. Broadcast on FS1, PRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90, the race follows practice and Busch Light Pole Qualifying on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET on Amazon Prime. The last eight Texas Cup races had different winners, with Chevrolet claiming the past four. Hendrick Motorsports, with three wins in the last four races, fields top contenders Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Elliott. Larson leads 2025 with 503 laps led, while Byron tops points standings with an 8.5 average finish.

“This weekend marks the 45th running of a NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, the 13th since the reconfiguration and the third scheduled at 400 miles,” noted a NASCAR official. The track’s 16 cautions last April tied a record, and recent races often feature late lead changes, with two last-lap passes for the win since 2007.

The Xfinity Series Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 runs Saturday at 2 p.m. ET, spanning 300 miles over 200 laps with a $1,651,939 purse. Aired on CW, PRN, and SiriusXM, the 47th Xfinity race at Texas follows practice and pole qualifying on the CW App Friday at 5 p.m. ET. Sam Mayer, last year’s winner by 0.002 seconds, and Harrison Burton are past winners in the field. Justin Allgaier, leading the standings by 79 points, has won both 1.5-mile track races this season. Joe Gibbs Racing, with 17 Texas wins, seeks to extend its dominance.

The CRAFTSMAN Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 250 kicks off Friday at 8 p.m. ET, covering 250.5 miles over 167 laps with a $782,900 purse. Broadcast on FS1, NRN, and SiriusXM, the 51st Truck Series race at Texas marks the start of a six-week racing stretch. Corey Heim, leading the standings by 22 points, has a 5.3 average finish at Texas but no wins. Matt Crafton and Stewart Friesen, full-time drivers with past Texas victories, are in the field. The last five Texas Truck races had different winners, with four featuring late lead changes.

Actor Shea Whigham, known for “Boardwalk Empire” and “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” serves as Grand Marshal for the Cup race. Sebastian Würth, of the Würth Group, is the Honorary Starter, joined by co-Honorary Race Officials Benjamin Würth and Moses Brings Plenty of “Yellowstone.” Former Cup driver Kasey Kahne drives the pace car, while NFL veteran Spencer Tillman delivers the invocation. Don Graves, a 100-year-old Marine veteran who fought at Iwo Jima, sings the National Anthem.

Texas Motor Speedway, built in 1995 on 1,500 acres, has hosted NASCAR since 1997. Its 2017 repave reduced banking in Turns 1 and 2 to 20 degrees, increasing cautions. The track’s Big Hoss TV, certified in 2014 as the world’s largest HD LED screen, enhances the fan experience. Known as “The Great American Speedway,” Texas has seen 44 Cup races, with 24 different winners.
