SOLOMONS, Md., May 15, 2025 — The Calvert Marine Museum (CMM) will host a Night at the Museum for Friends with Disabilities on May 16, offering exclusive access to guests with disabilities, their families, friends, or caregivers from 5 to 7 p.m. This free event, held in partnership with Calvert County Parks & Recreation Therapeutic Recreation Services, provides a relaxed, supportive environment to explore the museum’s exhibits and grounds, showcasing its commitment to accessibility and inclusion.

The event invites attendees to engage with the museum’s diverse offerings, including exhibits on fish, fossils, river otters, skates, rays, and maritime history. Guests can participate in hands-on activities in the Discovery Room, explore the boat basin, and visit the historic Drum Point Lighthouse. The museum’s otter mascot will be available for photos, adding a playful touch to the evening. The Museum Store will offer items for all ages, and the Salted Scoop will sell ice cream on-site for a refreshing treat.
