On May 25, 2025, at approximately 1:07 a.m., Maryland State Police from the Leonardtown Barrack responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Sheetz gas station located at 22711 Three Notch Road, California, MD 20619. A suspect, described as a Black male wearing a gray shirt, camouflage bandana covering his face, and jeans, entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money from employees. The suspect fled on foot with over $300 in cash and a Twix candy bar, heading in an unknown direction.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours at the convenience store, which is situated along a busy corridor in St. Mary’s County. According to police reports, the suspect approached the counter, pointed the firearm at the employees, and ordered them to hand over the contents of the cash register. The employees complied, and the suspect took the cash and a single Twix candy bar before exiting the store. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

Maryland State Police are actively investigating the incident, which has been assigned case number 25-MSP-016504. Authorities are seeking information from the public to identify the suspect and determine his whereabouts.
