PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Corporal Nick DeFelice was honored as the inaugural recipient of The Sentinel Valor Award on May 29, 2025, recognizing his exceptional service in law enforcement. Presented by American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 Commander Scott Deacon and past commander of American Legion Department of Maryland Patricia McCoy, the award celebrates DeFelice’s courageous service, steadfast leadership, and unwavering integrity.

Cpl. DeFelice, a member of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, was commended for setting a high standard in public safety.
