WASHINGTON, D.C., June 5, 2025 — The U.S. Coast Guard will enforce a temporary security zone on the Potomac River, Washington Channel, and Tidal Basin from June 13 to June 14, 2025, for the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary celebration in Washington, D.C. The zone, effective from 2:00 p.m. on June 13 to 10:00 p.m. on June 14, aims to ensure safety during the event.
The security zone, established under 33 CFR Part 165.508, covers all waters of the Potomac River north of the 14th Street Bridge, the entire Washington Channel, and the Tidal Basin. No vessels or persons may enter or operate within this area during the specified period without authorization.
