OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Ocean City Air Show, set for June 14-15, 2025, will bring breathtaking aerial performances to the skies above the city’s beach and boardwalk, with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels headlining the event. Organized by the Air Dot Show Tour, the show features a mix of military and civilian aviation acts, drawing thousands to witness high-speed maneuvers, aerobatic stunts, and parachute displays. Running from noon to 3 p.m. each day, the event offers free viewing along the beach from 6th to 26th streets, with ticketed areas between 13th and 17th streets providing premium experiences.

The Blue Angels, renowned for their precision and skill, will perform their signature formations, showcasing naval aviation excellence. The lineup also includes the F-16 Viper Demo Team, demonstrating high-speed maneuvers and 9G turns, and the EA-18G Growler Team, highlighting electronic warfare capabilities. The A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, known as “Warthogs,” will perform a close air support demo, emphasizing their low-level agility. The West Point Parachute Team, or “Black Knights,” will execute precision free-fall jumps, often with American flags, representing the U.S. Military Academy’s discipline. Civilian pilot Mark Meredith will fly his restored Super Chipmunk, “Chippy,” blending vintage charm with aerobatic prowess.

Spectators can choose from various viewing options. The Drop Zone Beach, open at 9 a.m., offers general admission with wristbands for re-entry, while the Flight Line Club, opening at 10 a.m., provides private boxes, catered meals, and an all-day beverage bar. Sand Boxes offer private beach areas for up to four people with umbrellas and chairs, and the VIP Skybox features a rooftop balcony with panoramic views, catered lunch, and VIP parking. Tickets range from $60 to $600, with discounts for advance purchases. Children 5 and under are free in the Drop Zone, and those 2 and under are free in the Flight Line Club as lap infants. The show is ADA-compliant, though beach areas are on sand, and beach wheelchairs may be available for rent from independent vendors.

The event, centered between 13th and 17th streets, includes professional narration and music in ticketed areas, enhancing the experience. Ground exhibits will be set up along the boardwalk from 12th to 20th streets, but no aircraft will be displayed on-site due to the beach flyover format. Viewing from boats is popular, with regulations outlined on the event’s website. Organizers recommend ear protection, especially for children under 5, due to the noise of jet performances. The show expects heavy traffic, advising attendees to arrive before 9 a.m. and use municipal buses or the West Ocean City Park & Ride for convenience.

The Air Dot Show Tour, which includes stops in Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and New York, celebrates aviation’s military and civilian legacy. Ocean City’s event, part of this nationwide tour, promises a family-friendly spectacle against the coastal backdrop. Attendees are encouraged to book accommodations early and plan for congestion, making a full day of boardwalk activities and air show excitement.
