BOWIE, Md., June 12, 2025 — The Harrisburg Senators defeated the Bowie Baysox 4-3 in a 10-inning contest at Prince George’s Stadium on Thursday, with Murphy Stehly’s sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th securing the victory. The game, attended by 1,741 fans, featured clutch performances and critical plays, keeping both teams locked in a tight battle until the final out.

The Senators (30-30, 3rd EAS Southwest) trailed early after Adam Retzbach’s solo home run in the first inning gave the Baysox (27-31, 4th EAS Southwest) a 1-0 lead. Harrisburg responded in the fourth when Stehly hit a solo home run to tie the game. The Senators took a 3-1 lead in the sixth, capitalizing on a fielding error and a sacrifice fly by Seaver King, followed by Kevin Made’s RBI single. The Baysox fought back in the sixth, tying the score at 3-3 with Noelberth Romero’s two-run homer.

The game remained deadlocked until the 10th inning. With King placed on second base under extra-inning rules, Stehly’s sacrifice fly drove him in for the go-ahead run. Michael Cuevas closed out the game for Harrisburg, retiring the Baysox in the bottom of the 10th to earn his eighth save of the season. Junior Santos (4-2, 2.89 ERA) picked up the win, while Gerald Ogando (1-1, 4.23 ERA) took the loss for Bowie.

Stehly led the Senators, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs, and a hit-by-pitch. C.J. Stubbs contributed a double, and Delino DeShields added a single and scored a run. For the Baysox, Retzbach and Romero each homered, with Romero driving in two runs. Reed Trimble doubled and stole a base, but Bowie struggled with runners in scoring position, going 1-for-8.

Kyle Luckham started for Harrisburg, allowing two runs over 5.2 innings while striking out six. Ryan Long, Bowie’s starter, gave up three runs (two earned) over five innings. Both bullpens kept the game close, with Thomas Schultz and Robinson Martínez each allowing runs in relief. Peter Van Loon and Santos delivered scoreless outings before Cuevas sealed the win.

The Senators’ defense and baserunning proved pivotal. Phillip Glasser stole his 13th base and executed a sacrifice bunt, while Johnathon Thomas stole his fourth base. Bowie’s two fielding errors, one by Trimble and another by Alfredo Velásquez, contributed to Harrisburg’s scoring opportunities. The Baysox left seven runners on base, compared to Harrisburg’s nine, highlighting the game’s tight margins.

The matchup showcased the competitive nature of the Eastern League’s Southwest Division. Harrisburg’s victory evened their record at 30-30, while Bowie fell to 27-31.
