Aiden Doyle and Joe Szymanski of the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s lacrosse team were named to the 2025 Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Division III All-Region 2 teams on June 16, 2025. Both athletes received Honorable Mention honors, marking their first All-Region recognition.
Doyle, a senior from Annapolis, and Szymanski, a sophomore from Easton, contributed to the Seahawks’ 10-8 season, which included a third consecutive NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Championship Tournament appearance and a second-round advancement. The team also secured its fourth straight United East tournament title and third consecutive regular-season conference championship.

Doyle, a 6-5 midfielder, led the team with 56 goals and 77 points, ranking first and second in the United East Conference, respectively. His 21 assists placed seventh in the league. Nationally, he ranked 37th in Division III with 3.11 goals per game. Doyle earned Honorable Mention United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American honors on May 22, 2025, and First Team All-United East Conference honors on May 7, 2025. He was named United East Offensive Player of the Week on March 17, 2025, and selected to the USILA Division III Team of the Week on March 19, 2025.
Graduating as the program’s all-time goals leader, Doyle amassed 155 goals, 233 points, 78 assists, 76 ground balls, 17 man-up goals, and 14 caused turnovers in 65 games. A two-time First Team All-United East selection (2022, 2025) and the 2022 United East Rookie of the Year, Doyle capped his four-year career with a standout senior season.
Szymanski, a 6-4 defenseman, made an immediate impact in his first season at St. Mary’s. He led the team with 29 caused turnovers, ranking second in the conference, and collected 80 ground balls, placing fifth in the United East. Szymanski also contributed a goal and two assists. He was voted the 2025 United East Defensive Player of the Year and earned First Team All-United East honors on May 7, 2025. Szymanski was named United East Defensive Player of the Week on March 10, 2025, and selected to the USILA Division III Team of the Week on March 12, 2025.
The All-Region honors bring the St. Mary’s men’s lacrosse program’s total IMLCA All-Region recognitions to five, following Honorable Mention awards for Brandon Dabkowski, Ethan Little, and Joshua Martel in 2024. The Seahawks’ consistent postseason success reflects the program’s competitive standing in Division III lacrosse, with Doyle and Szymanski’s contributions bolstering both offensive and defensive efforts.
St. Mary’s College, located in St. Mary’s City, competes in the United East Conference, which includes schools across Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York.
