ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. — St. Mary’s College of Maryland released the 2025 men’s and women’s soccer schedules, featuring competitive non-conference and United East Conference matchups. The men’s team, led by Head Coach Alun Oliver ’04 in his 15th season, will play a 17-game slate with nine home games at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium. The women’s team, under Head Coach Peter Krech ’09 in his 12th year, will compete in 19 games, also with nine home contests.

The men’s team, coming off an 11-7-3 season and a second consecutive United East Conference tournament title, faces three 2024 NCAA Division III Tournament participants, two conference tournament champions, and three league runners-up. The season begins August 29-30 at Salisbury University’s Elmer Lord Tournament against Ursinus College and York College of Pennsylvania, the MAC Commonwealth runner-up. On September 2, the Seahawks travel to face Catholic University, a two-time Landmark Conference champion and NCAA Tournament participant.

Home action starts with the Seahawk Classic on September 6-7, hosting Washington College and Lynchburg, an Old Dominion Athletic Conference runner-up and NCAA second-round participant. A September 10 matchup against Johns Hopkins, the two-time Centennial Conference champion and No. 18-ranked team, follows. Other non-conference games include Stevenson University on September 13, Bridgewater College on September 20, and Salisbury University on September 24. United East play begins September 27 against University of Valley Forge, with key home games against Penn State Brandywine on October 1 and Penn State Abington on October 4, both playoff rematches. Road games include Notre Dame of Maryland on October 7, Keystone College on October 11, Penn State Berks on October 15, and Lancaster Bible College on October 25. The regular season ends at home against Cairn University on October 18 for Hawktoberfest and Senior Day. The United East Tournament starts October 28, with the championship on November 8.

The women’s team, fresh off a historic 17-2-4 season with 65 goals and 18 shutouts, reached the United East tournament final and earned an NCAA Tournament berth. The 2025 schedule includes three NCAA Tournament teams, two league runners-up, and one conference champion. The season opens August 29-30 with the Seahawk Classic, hosting Neumann University and The College of New Jersey, a two-time NJAC champion ranked No. 20 nationally. A five-game road trip follows, starting at Hood College on September 3, then facing William Smith College (2024 NCAA runner-up, ranked No. 2) and Rowan University (NJAC semifinalist, NCAA participant) at Salisbury’s Classic on September 6-7, Stevenson University on September 10, and Randolph-Macon College on September 13.

A five-game homestand begins with Catholic University on September 17 and Virginia Wesleyan, the ODAC runner-up, on September 20. United East play starts September 27 against University of Valley Forge, followed by Penn State Brandywine on October 1 and Keystone College on October 4. After road games at Notre Dame of Maryland on October 7 and Lancaster Bible on October 11, the Seahawks host Salisbury on October 12 and Cairn University on October 18 for Hawktoberfest. The season closes at Penn State Abington on October 21 and Mary Washington on October 25. The United East Tournament begins October 29, with the championship on November 8.
