On July 4, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting at Neptune’s Seafood Pub, located at 8802 Chesapeake Ave., North Beach, Maryland.

The North Beach shooting, which occurred in the early morning hours, resulted in no injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities have since apprehended two suspects and identified a third individual involved in the incident, with ongoing investigations to uncover further details.

Sheriff’s Office Response and Suspect Apprehensions

Following the report of the North Beach shooting, deputies arrived promptly at Neptune’s Seafood Pub to investigate. Their efforts led to the identification and apprehension of two primary suspects: Rayquan Malik Jackson, 27, of Falls Church, Virginia, and Devon Patrick Hunter, 24, of Friendship, Maryland. Both individuals are currently detained at the Calvert County Detention Center without bond.

The suspects face multiple charges related to the North Beach shooting, including attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, illegal possession of a firearm, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment. These charges reflect the severity of the incident and the potential danger it posed to patrons and staff at the pub.

Evidence Tampering by Third Individual

In addition to the two suspects, authorities identified Jeremiah Jermaine Nick, 19, of Shady Side, Maryland, for tampering with evidence in an attempt to obstruct the investigation of the North Beach shooting. A criminal summons has been issued for Nick, signaling the sheriff’s office’s commitment to addressing all aspects of the incident, including efforts to interfere with the investigation.
