WALDORF, Md. (Dec. 1, 2025) — Charles County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a reckless endangerment incident in which multiple gunshots were fired into an occupied apartment late Saturday night.

The shooting occurred around 8:15 p.m. Nov. 30 in the 3000 block of Gallery Place, a residential complex off St. Charles Parkway in central Waldorf. An unknown suspect or suspects discharged several rounds from a handgun into one of the units. No occupants inside the apartment were struck or injured.

Officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire. Upon arrival, patrol units located numerous spent shell casings in the parking lot area and bullet damage to the targeted apartment. Crime scene technicians processed the scene and recovered ballistic evidence.

Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible. The case remains active and under investigation by the CCSO Criminal Investigations Division.

The Gallery Place apartments are part of a large multifamily community in the St. Charles planned development, home to thousands of residents and located near shopping centers, schools and major commuter routes.

This incident marks at least the third reported shots-fired call in the immediate Waldorf area over the past month, though detectives have not indicated whether the cases are related.
