PRINCE FREDICK, Md. — High Fidelity, a five-piece band devoted to the golden 1950s and 1960s era of bluegrass, returns by popular demand to the Southern Maryland Bluegrass Concert Series on Sunday, January 4, 2026. The performance begins at 2 p.m. at the Calvert Elks Lodge, 1015 Dares Beach Road.
The group’s set list draws directly from first-generation masters including the Stanley Brothers, Don Reno & Red Smiley, Jim & Jesse, Mac Wiseman, and the Louvin Brothers. Critics and fans frequently compare their tight harmonies and driving instrumentation to the influential Johnson Mountain Boys of the 1980s revival era.

High Fidelity features Jeremy Stephens on guitar and lead vocals with additional banjo work; Corrina Rose Logston on fiddle and harmony vocals; Kurt Stephenson on banjo and harmony; Daniel Amick on mandolin, guitar and harmony; and Vickie Vaughn on upright bass. Stephens has toured with Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys and appeared with the Chuck Wagon Gang. Logston has recorded with Jim Lauderdale and other traditionalists. Amick earned the International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2019 Momentum Award for Instrumentalist of the Year.
The January show marks the third concert of the series’ 2025-2026 season, now in its fourth year as the region’s leading traditional bluegrass venue. Held monthly from September through April at the Calvert Elks, the series draws audiences from St. Mary’s, Calvert, Charles, and Anne Arundel counties, as well as Virginia’s Northern Neck.
