Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning in Fort Washington, leaving 37-year-old Craig Demarco Jackson of Temple Hills dead. Officers responded to the 6700 block of Botetourt Drive around 12:15 a.m. on December 19, 2025, following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located Jackson outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Preliminary findings indicate detectives do not believe the incident was random.
The investigation continues with the Homicide Unit leading efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
