Oddin.gg, a prominent provider of esports betting solutions, has secured a sports betting vendor license in Maryland, expanding its regulated presence in North America to seven jurisdictions and targeting the state’s robust sports wagering and emerging esports sectors.
The company announced the approval on February 10, 2026, via its official news release. This license enables Oddin.gg to supply B2B esports betting products and services to licensed operators in Maryland, a market known for high activity and growth potential on the East Coast.
Oddin.gg now holds approvals in Arizona, New Jersey, Colorado, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Ontario, Canada. The addition positions the firm to capitalize on Maryland’s competitive landscape, where sports betting has shown consistent strength.
Maryland bettors wagered more than $6.6 billion throughout 2025, according to industry reports. In November 2025, the state recorded a record handle of $720.18 million and revenue of $95.4 million, with operators holding 13.5 percent and contributing a record $19 million to state coffers—the highest single-month return since the program’s launch.
The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency oversees the market, which launched mobile and retail wagering in late 2021. Esports betting forms part of the regulated offerings, aligning with rising national interest: approximately 23 percent of U.S. sports bettors now wager on esports, and North America generated over 40 percent of global esports betting revenue in 2024.
Maryland hosts a notable esports community, anchored by the University of Maryland’s Terps Esports program in College Park. Terps Esports participates in the Big Esports Conference (BEC), competing alongside 17 other major U.S. universities from the traditional Big Ten athletic footprint. The program provides competitive opportunities across various titles and skill levels, serving students and the broader community.
Marek Suchar, co-founder and managing director of Oddin.gg, stated: “Maryland represents an important addition to our North American regulatory footprint. The state’s strong sports betting performance and growing esports community create an ideal environment for operators to deliver market-leading esports betting experiences. This license strengthens our ability to support partners in Maryland as esports continues to gain traction among bettors.”
Oddin.gg focuses on B2B solutions, including odds feeds, risk management, and betting platforms tailored for esports events. The license follows similar approvals in other states and supports the company’s strategy to deepen penetration in regulated North American markets amid esports’ mainstream integration into sports wagering.
No immediate partnerships with Maryland operators have been announced following the license grant. The Maryland market continues to rank among the top-performing in the U.S. for handle and revenue, driven by mobile access and major league seasons.
This development highlights Southern Maryland’s proximity to the University of Maryland’s esports initiatives in nearby Prince George’s County, potentially benefiting regional interest in regulated esports wagering.
