The Maryland Park Service successfully rolled out its upgraded online reservations management system on February 24, 2026, delivering a faster and more user-friendly platform for booking campsites, cabins, mini-cabins, pavilions, and additional amenities across 37 state parks.
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources announced the launch on March 5, 2026, confirming seamless completion of the transition. All pre-launch reservations transferred securely to the new system, with affected visitors receiving emails containing updated booking numbers. To view, manage, or create reservations, users must activate accounts at parkreservations.maryland.gov.

Activation requires entering the original reservation email and using the “Forgot Password” option to receive a reset link—no re-entry of personal details needed. Once set up with a new password, users access transferred bookings and proceed with modifications or new plans. The platform, selected through competitive procurement from Aspira, features enhanced desktop and mobile performance, a streamlined checkout, and optional text notifications for better communication.
Pricing for amenities and transaction fees stay identical to the prior system. Some camping policies received updates, with full details posted on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources website. The upgrade forms part of ongoing modernization to elevate customer service and park visit planning.
Customer support operates at 1-888-432-2267 for help with account setup, reservation retrieval, and platform inquiries.
Southern Maryland visitors gain from easier access to nearby parks like Point Lookout State Park in St. Mary’s County and Calvert Cliffs State Park in Calvert County, where the system supports bookings for camping, pavilions, and day-use where applicable. The change aligns with broader efforts to manage demand, building on 2025’s day-use reservation success at select parks that reduced overcrowding and closures during peak periods.
The announcement followed a February 11 preview detailing the February 24 go-live, temporary blackout from February 15-23 for data migration, and assurance that existing bookings remained valid for arrivals.
