GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police have arrested six suspects believed to be responsible for a regional string of commercial burglaries that spanned multiple jurisdictions and included more than a dozen overnight break-ins in Anne Arundel County between February and April 2026.
The arrests, announced by the Anne Arundel County Police Department, resulted from an investigation led by the department’s Western District Detective Unit and Regional Crime Unit in partnership with other regional law enforcement agencies. In most of the Anne Arundel County incidents, the suspects forced entry into businesses and targeted cash and other valuables.
Investigators identified the group through coordinated efforts with regional partners. The suspects were apprehended in Columbia while they were attempting to carry out another burglary in Howard County. All six individuals were taken into custody without incident.
The adult suspects are Isaac Anderson, 21, of Washington, D.C.; Alphonso Wilson, 20, of Washington, D.C.; Zevian Jones, 21, of Washington, D.C.; Damari Day, 23, of Capitol Heights; and Roderick Thomas, 21, of Suitland. A 17-year-old male from Washington, D.C., was also arrested. The adult suspects face multiple counts of burglary, theft and destruction of property across several jurisdictions. They are being held at the Howard County Detention Center without bond.
These arrests are believed to have dismantled a burglary ring responsible for dozens of commercial break-ins over the past three months. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue working with partner agencies to link the suspects to additional cases and fully document the scope of the alleged criminal activity.
The operation highlights the effectiveness of regional collaboration in addressing cross-jurisdictional crime patterns. Law enforcement agencies across the Baltimore-Washington area routinely share intelligence and coordinate enforcement actions to disrupt organized theft rings that move between counties and sometimes cross state lines. Such partnerships allow for faster identification of suspects and prevent further victimization of local businesses.
Commercial burglaries of this nature often occur overnight when businesses are closed, leading to significant financial losses for owners and operators. The targeted theft of cash can also disrupt payroll, vendor payments and daily operations, creating ripple effects in local economies. Anne Arundel County, which includes a mix of residential communities and commercial corridors, has seen periodic spikes in property crimes that require sustained investigative focus.
The Western District, which covers areas such as Severn and surrounding communities, has been a focal point for these efforts. Automated systems, surveillance footage and community tips frequently play key roles in building cases against repeat offenders. In this instance, the joint operation culminated in a proactive takedown before another business could be victimized.
Anne Arundel County Police have thanked all regional partners for their assistance throughout the investigation. Officials noted that continued cooperation will be essential as detectives pursue additional leads and work to close out linked cases.
No further details about the value of stolen property or specific businesses affected were released pending the ongoing investigation. The arrests send a clear message that regional law enforcement remains committed to protecting businesses and holding accountable those responsible for organized property crimes.
