St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks announced that multiple gymnasts from the St. Mary’s County Gymnastics Academy USAG team will compete at the Region 7 Xcel Gold and Platinum Regional Championships.
The event is scheduled for May 14–17 in Edison, New Jersey. It marks the conclusion of the team’s 2025–2026 competitive season.
All 40 SMGA USAG athletes qualified for and competed at the 2026 state championships across Levels 2–6 and Xcel Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum divisions. Five Xcel Gold gymnasts and all five Xcel Platinum gymnasts earned advancement to the regional meet.

Standout performances at the state level included Level 2 gymnast Mylani Brown, Level 3 gymnast Olivia Ewing, Xcel Silver gymnast Annabella Hobbs, Xcel Gold gymnast Reagan Wagner and Xcel Platinum gymnast Kylee Gahn, among many others.
St. Mary’s County Gymnastics Academy officials praised the dedication, practice and determination shown by the entire team throughout the season. The academy operates as part of the county’s Recreation & Parks Department and offers both competitive USAG programs and recreational gymnastics for local youth.
