CHESAPEAKE BEACH — Rod ’N’ Reel Resort kicked off its 2026 Rock the Dock summer concert series with an opening night at its waterfront Bandshell, marking the start of a season of live music and Chesapeake Bay entertainment in Calvert County.

The resort released its full lineup for the series, which runs from May through October and features tribute bands covering classic rock, country, 80s hits, soul and yacht rock. Performances take place outdoors at the Bandshell overlooking the bay, combining music with dining, marina access and resort amenities.

The series returns as the property completes a multi-phase renovation that updated accommodations, dining options, marina facilities, public spaces and other amenities. The changes position the family-owned resort as a refreshed waterfront destination ahead of its 80th anniversary.

“For years, Rock the Dock has been a summer staple in Chesapeake Beach, and this season is particularly exciting as guests discover all the new experiences the property has to offer,” said Mary Lanham, owner and CEO of Rod ’N’ Reel Resort. “Whether guests are returning for a favorite tradition or visiting us for the first time, Rock the Dock is a great way to experience the new chapter of the resort.”

The 2026 schedule includes several highlighted acts. On June 5, The Alan Jackson Experience performs as an Alan Jackson tribute. Groove Spot Band & Show appears June 21 with Motown and R&B hits. Johnny Seaton & Bad Behavior delivers an Elvis tribute on June 27. Eclipse, a Journey tribute, plays July 4. The Reagan Years, an 80s tribute band, performs July 17.

Later dates feature All-Star Purple Party as a Prince tribute on July 25, Legends of New Country with Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson tributes on August 9, and High Voltage, an AC/DC tribute, on August 14. Outlaw State of Mind / Beautiful Crazy, covering Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs, appears August 21. Loveboat Yacht Rock closes listed dates on August 30. Additional performances continue through October.

Guests can purchase tickets and view the complete schedule on the series website. Organizers recommend arriving early to enjoy resort dining options and sunset views over the bay before shows begin.

The concerts provide a recurring entertainment option in Southern Maryland, drawing visitors from Calvert County and the broader Washington, D.C., and Baltimore regions. The venue’s location along the Chesapeake Bay allows attendees to combine live music with waterfront dining and overnight stays at the resort.

The Rock the Dock series operates alongside other resort offerings, including marina access and seasonal amenities such as pools and event spaces. The updated property blends its historic roots with modern features following the recent renovations.
