AUSTIN, Texas — The U.S. Postal Service will release 10 new Forever stamps featuring Barbie portraying various careers during a July 11 event at the 2026 National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention.
The interactive first-day-of-issue event begins at 10 a.m. Central at the Hilton Austin. It is free and open to the public, with attendees encouraged to RSVP at usps.com/barbiestamps. News of the stamps is being shared with the hashtag #BarbieStamps.
Barbie was introduced in 1959 by Mattel Inc. as “The Original Teenage Fashion Model.” The doll quickly became an icon and symbol of limitless possibilities. A 1985 advertising jingle proclaimed, “We girls can do anything!” The new stamps continue that theme by showing Barbie in 10 different careers.

The stamps will be issued in panes of 10. As Forever stamps, they will always equal the current First-Class Mail one-ounce price.
The U.S. Postal Service regularly issues commemorative stamps honoring cultural icons and milestones. This release recognizes Barbie’s role in popular culture and its message of opportunity across generations.
Residents in Southern Maryland can purchase the stamps at local post offices once available or through usps.com. The issue may interest collectors and those following pop culture or stamp releases in the region.
