LEXINGTON PARK — The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday evening at the Spark Pax Apartment complex.

Deputies responded to reports of multiple shots fired around 6:32 p.m. on June 13 in the 46000 block of Hilton Drive. Upon arrival, they located two individuals with apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported by helicopter to regional hospitals for treatment.

The investigation remains active. Deputies continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office has asked community members to avoid the immediate area for several hours while the work continues.

Incidents involving gunfire can create ongoing safety concerns for residents and first responders. Law enforcement agencies in St. Mary’s County routinely ask the public to stay clear of active scenes to allow investigators to work without interference.
