ANNAPOLIS — In-person early voting for Maryland’s Gubernatorial Primary Election concludes Thursday, June 18.

Centers will operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters already in line by 8 p.m. will be permitted to cast their ballots.

“With the end of early voting approaching, I remind any Marylander who wants to vote early to plan ahead,” said Jared DeMarinis, Administrator of State Elections. “Find your early voting center by visiting our website or by downloading our free Go Vote Maryland! app.”

A list of early voting centers is available at vote.md.gov/vote2026.

Voters who are not yet registered can register when casting a ballot at an early voting center or on Election Day. Anyone registering on the spot must bring a document proving their current residence, such as a driver’s license, utility bill or bank statement.

Early voting is one of three options available for the primary. The others are mail-in voting and in-person voting on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, June 23.

Maryland voters in Southern Maryland counties including Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s have convenient access to early voting centers. Checking locations in advance helps ensure a smooth experience, especially as the deadline approaches.

The primary election determines party nominees for governor and other statewide and local offices. Participation in the primary helps shape the choices voters will face in the general election.

Residents who prefer not to vote early can request a mail-in ballot or wait for Election Day. Those choosing mail-in ballots should allow enough time for delivery and return by the deadline.

Voters are encouraged to download the free Go Vote Maryland! app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for easy access to polling locations, hours and election information.

Southern Maryland residents planning to participate in the primary are urged to confirm their voting method and location today to meet the early voting deadline or prepare for Election Day on June 23.
