The St. Mary’s Gymnastics Academy has wrapped up a successful 2025-2026 season, highlighted by strong performances at the USA Gymnastics Region 7 Championships in Edison, New Jersey.
The academy’s team gymnasts in the Gold and Platinum levels competed against athletes from Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia at the regional event held May 14-17, 2026.
In the Xcel Gold division, Reagan Wagner finished second in the All-Around. Legare Wicker placed fifth on bars, and Aubrey Woode earned eighth place on beam.

In the Xcel Platinum division, Kathleen Holbert took first place on bars and fifth in the All-Around. Katelyn Haina placed fifth on bars, and Peyton Denierio earned second place on floor.
The season was particularly notable because all 40 SMGA team athletes qualified for and competed at the state level. The academy’s gymnasts demonstrated clear improvement and development throughout the year.
St. Mary’s Gymnastics Academy officials expressed pride in the athletes’ accomplishments. The program thanks the gymnasts, their families and coaches for their dedication.
The academy offers both competitive team programs and recreational gymnastics opportunities for children and adults in St. Mary’s County. The program is part of the St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation and Parks.
