The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s soccer team scored 11 goals in the first 36 minutes Saturday and routed Keystone College 11-0 in a United East Conference match at the Keystone Turf Field and Track Complex in La Plume, Pennsylvania.

The Seahawks (3-6-3, 2-1-0 UEC) scored twice before the clock hit two minutes. Megan Rusk opened the scoring 62 seconds in. Thirty-eight seconds later, Alexandra Sarrach made it 2-0 off a Rusk assist.

Gracie Tourangeau then scored twice in 75 seconds: at the 10:00 mark off another Rusk assist, and at 11:15 with Sarrach setting her up. Oliviah Walton followed with two goals about two and a half minutes apart. The first came off a Makayla Marvray feed at 16:58, and the second was unassisted at 19:33.

Jill Kemp made it 7-0 in the 23rd minute, finishing a pass from Keira O’Neail at 22:04. Seven minutes later, Walton completed her hat trick off an assist from Maddison Spradlin at 29:01.

Spradlin then scored twice herself, unassisted at 32:55 and off a Marvray assist at 35:03. First-year Hannah Williams closed the scoring at 36:29. Neither team scored the rest of the way.

Walton finished with three goals on four shots. Tourangeau and Spradlin scored twice each, and Spradlin added an assist. Rusk had a goal and two assists, Sarrach a goal and an assist, and Marvray two assists. Kemp, Williams and O’Neail also figured in the scoring. Seven different Seahawks found the net.

St. Mary’s outshot Keystone 38-1, put 25 shots on goal and held a 13-0 edge in corners. Keystone keeper Emma Herman made 14 saves. Breanna Brown played the first 20 minutes in goal for St. Mary’s before Alexa Holmes took over. Holmes stopped Keystone’s only shot, in the second half, to finish the shutout.

The win is the Seahawks’ second shutout of conference play, following a 4-0 win over Penn State Abington in the UEC opener. St. Mary’s hosts Wilson College at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7.
