ARLINGTON, Va. — The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s tennis team didn’t leave much to chance Saturday, Oct. 10. The Seahawks shut out Marymount University 7-0 for their first win of the 2026-27 season.

St. Mary’s improved to 1-1 in dual matches, according to the college’s match recap. Marymount fell to 0-2. The Seahawks opened their dual season with a 4-3 loss at Catholic on Sept. 19.

The rout started in doubles. St. Mary’s swept all three doubles flights and lost only one game across the three matches to take a 1-0 lead into singles.
