PRINCE FREDERICK — Eagle Title has promoted Zanna Clayton to Southern Maryland branch manager, putting a Calvert County native in charge of the title and settlement company’s Prince Frederick office.
Clayton will oversee the office while continuing to work as a settlement officer, the company announced Oct. 26. Eagle Title said she will help expand its presence across Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s counties.
Title companies handle the final steps of a real estate sale, checking that a property’s title is clear, issuing title insurance and running the closing where buyers, sellers and lenders sign and money changes hands.
Clayton has nearly seven years in the title industry, according to the company. She started in pre- and post-closing support, moved into processing and earned her title insurance license in 2021. She is licensed in Maryland and Virginia.
She completed Leadership Southern Maryland’s Emerging Leaders Program with the Class of 2026 and has supported local efforts including Calvert County Christmas in April, which repairs homes for residents in need, the company said. She lives in Owings with her husband and two sons.
The promotion follows other changes at the Prince Frederick office this year. In May, the company added veteran settlement officer Wendy Gotte to its Southern Maryland team.
Eagle Title provides residential and commercial title insurance and settlement services in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. More information is available at eagletitle.com.
