Waldorf, MD- At 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019, the Charles County 911 center received a call for a “reported house on fire” in the 1600 blk of Boarman Court in the Bannister Section of Waldorf.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office o/s reports “smoke showing with one female occupant with burns to her hands”. Unit E-33 with six volunteers reported to the scene; confirming smoke and stretched a hose line into the dwelling finding a “kitchen fire”.
Within minutes, Unit E-33 reported the fire was out, needing the equipment necessary for ventilation. Command (U12 Sutter) requested Truck #1 to the scene for ventilation assisting Units E-121 and E-33, remaining units to “stage”.

Charles County EMS provided treatment for the injured occupant who refused transport. Command scaled the incident back to UNits E-33, E-121, Truck #1.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified and a report is pending.
