News Release, St. Mary’s Camera Club

St. Mary’s County Camera Club had its first meeting on November 2nd, 1998 in St. Mary’s City Maryland. The club’s purpose is to “…promote photography as a hobby, providing a forum for exchanging knowledge of the subject and inspiring amateur photographers toward improving their art.”

Thursday, September 5

The St. Mary’s County Camera Club will meet on Thursday, September 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the old Patuxent Naval Air Museum (the building behind the new museum), 22156 Three Notch Rd, Lexington Park, MD 20653.

Bring 3 digital images on an SD card or USB flash drive that you would like to have reviewed for suggestions to improve, or just sit back and listen. Visitors welcome to participate for free.

Thursday, September 12

The St. Mary’s County Camera Club will not meet on September 12 for a photo competition as the next week it will be sponsoring the public Photography Department competition at the St. Mary’s County Fair.

Come see us at the county fairgrounds on Wednesday, September 18 to enter your photos.
