North Beach, MD- BGE is currently implementing the plan to update older wood light poles throughout the town.

The new light poles are made of a more durable and long-lasting material and will feature energy-efficient bulbs (LED). On Friday, September 20, 2019, BGE representatives were in town to mark existing pole locations. On September 23. 2019, crews have started removing old poles and installing the new poles.

The poles are along 8th Street, Annapolis Avenue and a few others scattered throughout the town. This work will continue for approximately two weeks.
