Annapolis, MD- The Maryland State Board of Elections has reviewed the Governor’s proclamation setting the dates for the special election for the 7th Congressional District. The special election primary will take place on February 4, 2020, and the special election general election will coincide with the presidential primary election on April 28, 2020.
Candidates for Maryland’s 7th Congressional District may begin filing for this election on October 30, 2019, at 9 am. The filing deadline is November 20, 2019, at 5 pm. for candidates affiliated with the Democratic and Republican parties.
The State Board will immediately begin working with local election officials in Baltimore City, and Baltimore and Howard Counties to prepare for these elections.
